Hatton Garden hub

ChangeActShare is playing a part in helping to develop an active and sustainable role for Hatton Garden as London’s jewellery hub and a key London visitor destination.

There are 55 shops and 400 jewellery-related businesses in the Hatton Garden area.

Camden Council uses planning policies to protect and develop the jewellery industry. Since 2004, it has secured 2,600 sqm of affordable workspace in Hatton Garden and grants worth £125,000 for equipment have been awarded. Section 106 planning funds are also being used to promote the area’s jewellery designers and manufacturers.

Two in-depth pieces of research for Hatton Garden were commissioned by Camden Council in 2004 and 2009. You can read the results by downloading the pdf files on the right column of this page.
