Networks are the lifeblood of any industry and London’s jewellery sector is no exception, especially since the industry has a tradition of being fragmented. It is an industry which relies very much on trust and word-of-mouth recommendations. With this in mind, ChangeActShare has developed new networks to foster information and ideas sharing and business links.
There are at least 150 businesses in the Hatton Garden area supplying technical services to the jewellery industry. ChangeActShare's craft manufacturers’ network is designed to encourage outworkers and those based in small workshops to expand their networks. The net gain is an increase in business leads and recommendations.
