Amanda Mansell
British bespoke jewellery designer Amanda Mansell graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery in 1997. While, early in her career, she was celebrated for designing catwalk jewellery for the likes of Julien MacDonald, Lesley George and David Fielden, Amanda has recently focused on building her own distinctive contemporary jewellery design and manufacturing business.
Amanda's trade skills and connections, combined with her RCA creative and conceptual background, have fused to create unique and inspiring designs that are sophisticated, yet simple.
Amanda is passionate about creativity and quality and is a keen supporter of British design. That’s why she is an executive member of the Association for Contemporary Jewellery and also a member of London Jewellery First, an independent industry group formed with the support of Camden Council. The group champions a diverse range of projects designed to encourage new talent, technology and business opportunities in the jewellery industry.
In June 2009 Amanda launched her new brand during Coutts London Jewellery Week. Also during the Week she worked in collaboration with BulbCollective on Jewel Harmonic, an audio installation featuring the sounds of jewellery being made.
